Today we had an amazing takeaway from the 40 North Food Croft Kitchen at Bragar on the West side of Lewis. They rear their own cows and pigs for the kitchen and I had to sample their peat smoked pork sausages. I can report that they taste every bit as good as they sound.

This little fellow was spotted on the lawn this afternoon gathering material for his winter den. I sometimes wish I could hiberate for the winter months! Sutherland and MrsCatMac decided he should be called 'Hamish'.
