Greenwich village

Another cloudy day. I suddenly remembered I had wanted to return to The City bakery since January and so I did today. What I didn't know was, they had had a Chocolate festival going on back then. Today they didn't have the dark hot chocolate which I had in my head all along. The food was good nevertheless.

In the evening Greenwich village was exquisite. Creepers on walls turning orange, warm lights on windows, dog walkers in conversation, hundreds of parked bicycles and loads of neat places to eat.

When I was walking past this, there were a few people with their cameras pointed up, a couple who wanted their photo against it and a dog-walker who mumbled. "what it is about this corner, I'll never know."
