Kinda Before Horrigans

I guess that's why they call it...

... the end of the week.

[finished version on my Kinda Horrigans journal]

This is a complete and utter simple cheat of a shot. Taken with a Lensbaby Composer an f/5.6 aperture and a +10 macro. Then, when processing I increased the clarity when I was processing the RAW file and then opened in Photoshop. Simple conversion to black and white using Silver Efex Pro and a high key preset... slight adjustment of brightness and then set the toning to a light blue. Back in Photoshop and I gave it a final sharpen - using a duplicate of the background layer and a layer mask to make sure it was only the centre of the flower which was sharpened.

Flattened and saved.

Tip of the day:
Not just going with black, white and a few shades in between and chosing some other tone can really work with some mono shots. 'Mastering the art of black and white toning' has a whole load of ideas in it which are worth a play!
