O'Brien and Kathryn came over for dinner: spinach linguine with creamy pesto and salad and K brought some amazing baked butternut squash with fresh herbs and breadcrumbs.

two live music Blips in a row. you'd think i was back in Austin or something. actually, we just live upstairs from some happening stuff--last night our neighborhood had a big block party where they blockaded the streets and set up a huge stage. Watched these guys who are one of the bigger acts to 'make it' from Austin. Decent enough musicians but their music was very flat and tedious. And the fact that they even seemed bored playing their own songs didn't help that overall impression. However, things were quickly rectified by the amazing show happening before us.

We came back upstairs from all that where O'Brien proceeded to run down our cement hallway in flip-flops, creating the loudest echoey, rubbery slapping sound I've heard, in turn causing neighbor heads to poke from doorways in scared chuckles of confusion. Why stop there? had multiple shots of Jack Daniel's Honey (Leah's Blip accentuates this) followed, still, by a night ride to the pub for a final, night-closing pint of the black stuff.

In the A.M: okay, I need to get my ass in gear and work on some serious, grown-up stuff now.
