Poppy

Beautiful day here so out and about with camera, yet again had too many photos to choose from, I loved them all today.

In the end settled for this delicate wee poppy sitting at the side of the road.

Poppies grow in disturbed soil, that is why they grew on the devastated battle field at Flanders and were chosen as the symbol for remembrance.

Oh so sad.......
