My Library Lioness

One of the things Addie absolutely loves is story time. Every night when I sit down to read a story to the girls, Addie comes in, jumps up onto one of the beds, and settles in. Unfortunately in our new home, with Addie's bad hips, this is a lot more difficult for her to do. The kids room is on the third floor and the girls beds are higher now, now that we put the box frames back on. Nevertheless, Addie still climbs the stairs and will lie on the floor to listen. If I remember to put a bench near one of the beds she'll use that to jump up and be closer to the action. Sometimes, though not very often, she'll stay in the room after the story and sleep for a bit before coming down to our room.

BTW, if you don't recognise the blip title, and you have little ones you read to, then I heartily recommend this book: Library Lion by Michelle Knudsen (Author), Kevin Hawkes (Illustrator). It's beautifully written and illustrated, and a fabulous heart warming story to boot.
