Bolsover castle

The hilltop castle dominates the landscape out to the west. It is in view up the road from home. The flag of English Heritage is flying, who seem to be doing a great job in preserving the extensive remains and promoting them as a place to visit.

It was dull when setting off for the short walk, and bright sunshine did not seem likely. It is always worth getting out, even if the weather does not turn out like this.

We had a lovely service at the Gospel Hall we travel to this morning.
