Perhaps if we sing for our supper ...

Grass is getting short, or where there is any the goodness has gone out of it at this time of year, so we are feeding some of the cows and cattle hay bales. As soon as they hear the JCB they start bawling until the bale is lowered into their feeder.

The last two of the kittens went today which was a great relief, now we must catch the two female cats and get them to the vet as quickly as possible. I shall miss the kittens. They were a friendly bunch and used to come rushing out to meet me when I appeared walking down the hill with their food.

N and I walked over to the new grass ley to see whether the grass was coming up and whether the slugs had done any damage. All is well. Everywhere is so dry in this delightful weather but we do need some rain again! Sat outside with our cups of tea in the garden.
