Goat Tree - Water of Leith

Came across this urban feature, probably very little known on a walk on The Water of Leith today. I wonder who made it, I love their sense of atmosphere, vision and humour!! No one else but me noticed it and once I pointed it out the other 3 all loved it too. I think the tree would (wood!! ,, sorry... ) too. Looks like it has been badly butchered for some reason. Some other trees around were also felled. Life and Art in this old boy yet.

My photo isn't not very good but I am sure you better photographers out there might like to know about it. It is about half way between Stenhouse and Colinton.
