Another Languedoc year...

Visit to the SPA

For some time now we've been thinking of getting a third dog. We couldn't do it all the time we ran our house as a B&B; that's just too many dogs greeting people at the gate. But now we are retired (!) we have the time. The reason is that our lovely dogs Kit and Flynn are 8 and 7 years old respectively. Flynn is so idle he couldn't possibly train younger dog. And sad as it is, Kit won't last forever, so it has to be her job, whilst she is still able.

So we decided to get a dog from a rescue centre this time. I've been watching the Facebook page of Carcassonne SPA for the past few months where it mentioned that black dogs get overlooked. So we planned on getting a black one. We also needed it to be male and under five years old.

The lovely dog in the photo is extremely shy and has been scrunched up in the corner of his concrete cell for a year. He's just 19 months old and is in dire need of some patient love and care. So he's the one we chose.
