Waterfoot Sunrise

Shemaron

Travelled up to Renfrew today via Campbeltown, which gave me the opportunity to look around the harbour for blips. I had seen this boat before but decided today was the day for it to be blipped.

"Shemaron" is an old Carradale ring net fishing boat built in 1949. Her working days are over and she is now maintained by enthusiasts as a piece of west coast fishing history. I checked her out and you can actually have a wee sail on her on YouTube, with some background music and the sound of a noisy engine. Sheer nostalgia!

It rained all the way to Glasgow (day 48!) and at the top of the Rest and be Thankful the snow was on the hills and the temperature 2 degrees! Forget autumn, think winter is almost here!
