St Wilfrids

This is a shot of a church in preston that i have often walked past. Even though in travels abroad (proper dysentry inducing travel) i had seen the swastika on temples its still a suprise to see it on a christian church in the North of England.

Its a shame that thousands of years of history could be wiped out in such a short time & now it has altogether different meaning for most people.

Wikipedia is as good a starting point as any if anyone isnt aware of the religious history of the swastika.
