Once a Day in the West

Winter water lily

Ah, so many good pictures to choose from - lots of the small girls at pony club (not as 'middle class, up it's arse' as it sounds; these are small, feral, noisy, Argyllshire wee lassies who have nary a pair of jodhpurs between them, preferring wellies and wet weather gear so they can jump around in the pouring rain!), a lot of group shots of us all gazing at a poor, sad beached whale (already dead and somewhat smelly - but quite an amazing sight) and various other stuff.

The lily won as it conveyed a sense of peace, calm and slight autumnal melancholy - quite at odds to the frenetic and noisy running around in the rain the rest of the day encompassed.
