Snow on the Hills

A very heavy coating of snow on the hills to the West this morning. Not unexpected here at this time of year but still a bit of a shock when a few days ago there was none.

No sign of it on the ground yet but there were a definite hint of sleet in the air so we're probably not far off.

Temperature started at 1 degree this morning and didn't get any higher than 5 degrees all day. Time for the winter coats!
