Waitrose Wall

Daddy Day today and early on Toddler was insisting on an aquarium visit. I was worried about the walk in the cold but she was completley resistant to any other option. Not long after setting out was Baby asleep and blanketed up, it was around this point I also realised I had left Toddlers hat at nursery. Not being prepared to walk back to get it I relinquished my own headgear leaving my skin style open to the elements.

As we approached the first fish tank Baby awoke and was shocked to see the big carp inches from his face. After calming him down we wandered round, said hello to the sharks and played spot Daddy's favorit fish before heading to the skatepark for a cuppa.

After a little while some friends arrived. Sadly the sun was not quite so strong now and the temperature was dropping which Baby did not like, so we headed for home. Baby yelled for most of the journey home. When we got home Toddler joined in the yelling. I managed to calm them down just as Wife came through the door. The peace did not last too long though as Toddler seemed out of sorts and so created for most of the evening before eventually settling down to sleep.

Her and her brother seem to be going through some what of a territorial battle at the moment which is amplified by the teething issues. We shall continue to keep up the peace keeping mission.

I originally forgot to mention this but on pick up of Toddler at nursery today I was told by one of the key workers of how she had been impressing them all about her tree knowledge. They were looking through a try of leaves when Toddler started telling them all which ones were evergreen and deciduous, and then explained the difference. They were all taken aback by this, particularly one of the ladies from reception who could not believe her ears.
It is nice to know that sometimes when I talk Toddler does actually listen even if she pretends not to most of the time.
