Moments in a minor key

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE

For anyone who's been looking over the last few days I admit this has nothing to do with a Blue Plaque (more of those to follow), meet Mary Fischer who at the age of 95 has been the 'new' talent found by the Ilkley Art Trail & my own nominee for a Plaque of her own! Mary took up painting when she retired from being a fabric buyer for one of the big firms in Bradford, she blames her late start on her Mother as once when she was little she was taken to a toy shop to choose a present for being a bridesmaid and although she kept eyeing up a tin paint box in hope that it would be brought her Mother chose a large doll instead, had Mary got the paints who knows how her life might have turned out.
