Grappling with Nuclear Power

University of Pittsburgh student groups hosted a town hall meeting to discuss the pros and cons of nuclear power. Shown here are Professor Larry Foulke (Ph.D., Nuclear Engineering Certificate Program at University of Pittsburgh) and Dr. Patricia DeMarco (Ph.D., Director of the Rachel Carson Institute at Chatham College) who took opposite views of the issue. Not shown are Dr. Gregory Reed (Director of the University Of Pittsburgh Power and Energy Initiative) and Mr. Michael Mariotte (Executive Director of the Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS) in D.C.) It was a very interesting event with lots of learning and debate. One of the many joys of university!
