Mancala

Today I went to a brilliant exhibition of hands-on maths games, designed to put the fun back into learning maths. Many of the games were like this one, in that they used everyday objects. I've got some great ideas for a family numeracy course that I'll be running next term. I had a lesson in how to play Mancala, but I lost!
It's appropriate that today's photo involves maths, as this is my 400th consecutive Blip!

I hope to catch up with some comments tomorrow... I just don't have the time or energy during the week.
