Starlings

I passed the pier quite late this evening but got my first glimpse of this years starlings, and their flying show, before they dived beneath the pier for the night.

If you walk onto the pier once they've roosted, the sound coming from beneath you is amazing. Surround sound chirping!

So not a great photo but I will definitely go back earlier, and with a bigger lens, in the next few days.
