Happy Anniversary us!

So, today is the tenth anniversary of Mrs BH and I signing the London Partnership Register, which was a pre-cursor (or proof-of concept, in work-speak!) to Civil Partnerships.

This is a corner of our certificate, which is framed and sitting sort-of proudly in a box in the corner of the dining room, waiting to go on the wall. I think perhaps after this time it won't get put up. But it's still a reminder of a very significant date in our lives. And as you can see, we were couple #41 - how exciting! (I think we were the seventh lesbian couple)

Neither of us ever thought we'd actually be able to get married in our lifetimes, so the fact that we've done it twice* within ten years is remarkable, and owes such a lot to Ken Livingstone and the Labour Party.

I'm a lucky lucky girl. Mrs BH is marvellous, as many of you can attest to. Happy days!
