Tim

Meet Tim. He's a blue spotted salamander (otherwise known as a newt). Tim and several of his friends were lounging around on our patio last night - don't know what attracts them to the concrete - some residual warmth perhaps? Anyway, Tim was invited to stay the night, which he spent it in the fridge in a Tupperware container (not tightly closed, obviously) along with some wet paper towels.

First thing this morning I took his picture and then released him.

It's great that we have so many amphibians, as well as Tim and his friends I've found countless frogs hopping about on the lawn and there are tree frogs on the balcony (originally I thought they were toads).

In other news, drove to the twin cities today to have lunch with some of Mr Lightwave's old school friends. Weird stuff happened today, won't write about it here. Ended up in JJ's playing pool. Hmmm.
