The Talk of the Town!

The back wall of the Hammersmith Palais from the platforms of Hammersmith tube station. A fine piece of ghost signing.

My most memorable gig there was Siouxsie and the Banshees, around 1980.Where a surprisingly large group of fascists all started seig heiling during one of their songs.

Siouxsie then turn to the band and stopped the song they were playing midway through and they started up with Israel. Once and for all putting to bed her swastika phase and getting a massive cheer from the right-minded in the audience.
