Swan Family

This family of swans lives near to where I work. Quite often they find it necessary to cross the road and it is amazing to see one of the adult birds march onto the road to stop the traffic and wait there whilst the other parent then ventures onto the road herding her cygnets along. The first parent bird remains on the road until all are safely across. Amazing!
