No lift out

Today was supposed to be the boat club lift out, but it became clear yesterday that it wasn't going to happen - the forecast showing gusts of 30mph and higher. Quite deflating. As the boat had been on the pontoon since last weekend, I decided that I'd save myself some money by taking it back over to the mooring. Good old Denis gave me a hand, and in return I signed some of his cheques.
Later on I took a step down town in search of a pair of good serviceable winter boots. Being a bloke, I bought the first pair I found in the first shop I went into. Correct behaviour! Now for some NZ Sauvignon and a bit of a read.
