il Porto del Chianti...

I'm not a big wine drinker and thus don't really get the wine tasting thing but, when in the Chianti region...

So we took a wee drive over the very windy (that's up, down, left and right, not blowy) road to see if we could find somewhere.

Disenchantment set in when we came across the appointment only (and probably ridiculously expensive), the open but obviously couldn't be bothered and the looks like a winery but is in fact nothing of the kind.

We were heading back when we decided to try the first place we passed about two minute drive from the villa.

Result. Lovely setting, friendly english speaking, very knowledgable and personal.
