Wattsville on Fire - Again

Well its all over, well done New Zealand, you deserve to be the World Champions, you have consistently been the best rugby nation for years but I truly think Wales deserved to play you in the final and not France. But hay ho, there is always the next time.

While the final was being played a fire was and still is creeping closer to the house. I saw it last night on the way home at about 4:30 further around the mountain, but it has steadily progressed around. Luckily the wind is pushing it more around than down the mountain so we should be ok. Several years ago it was so bad that we had a helicopter taking very large water bucket up the mountain to dowse the fire and we used hundreds of fire men to keep it under control.

It doesn't seem that long ago that we had a very large pallet fire that burnt for nearly a year. We must be South Wales Fire Central.
