Nowhere near as exciting to watch as the deer rutting yesterday, but nonetheless I was delighted to see the cattle back on Chapel Common today for the first time in months. It's quite possible they've been there all the time, just on another part of it; it's just that I'd got used to seeing them every time I walked the dogs. Not that the dogs noticed them today. In fact, I don't think they even noticed the deer yesterday. Something to do with being low to the ground, I guess!
