Ruins

Ruins of a late 19th./early 20th. century industrial building in the old part of Puhos village. Atop the ruins, next to the hydro-electric powerplant, is an old steam engine from 1890, a further reminder of the "glory days".

Just a few weeks ago, a chipboard manufacturer here in Puhos announced it's going bankrupt, with 86 people losing their jobs. The past decade has been rough on the local industry.
