Celebrating a football birthday and birthplace

Today is the 154th birthday of the World's oldest football club, Sheffield FC.

Whilst walking around town at lunchtime I headed up Norfolk Row where the above plaque is placed aside the door of a Nail Salon (I wasn't visiting!). It marks the building where on 22nd March 1889 officials of Sheffield United Cricket Club met officials of the local FA and agreed to form a football team for the 1889-90 season. My team.
