Just needed a bit of colour!

This is a 35cm diameter whirlpool - part of the system of sluicing the silt from the Docks twice a month. I wish you could have heard the sucking and slurping.

Thank you so much for all the lovely comments yesterday - I was very thrilled, especially as it was taken with my point and shoot. Am feeling quite stiff after my 8 mile hike - 6 on the Skyline walk and then to and from the stations.
