Unknown Spider

I went to Christchurch today and although I took two cameras I didn't take a single photo. First I was intent on getting there, then doing what I had to do, after which I could think only of getting home again.

So this is an emergency blip. I found about a dozen of these small spiders sunning themselves on these flowers. They were all different sizes, though obviously the same species. They have strange boxy faces with eyes in front as well as on top. There were also many of the very tiny black beetles lurking among the flowers. I cropped this image close to the spider to bring out the details.

We had some blue sky, a little warm sunshine, but no mountains.
