Assisi

We visited Assisi yesterday but this was as close as we could get to the Basilica of St. Francis because THE POPE WAS THERE TOO! I'm sure there is a good lesson in there for us about always googling your destination before you head out... anyway, the city looked lovely, all spruced up, and since everyone was at the church the streets were pretty empty.

We made a stop at the Perugina factory on the way to Assisi and saw Baci candies and easter eggs (yep, already) going along the production line... Oh, and did I mention free samples? The kids loved it.
