Packing

After a couple of buy days trying to finish off some work I could finally start packing to head off to our much needed vacation. We've been postponing this time off for months now ... and I must say, rarely have a felt readier for this vacation.

Looking at this blip it's not difficult to guess the destination :)

Initially we had wanted to go somewhere else but due to some not so lucky planning and some important meetings we were left with less time than we had hoped for. So it was a "now or never" situation when it came to deciding where to go and booking this trip. Neither R nor me had ever been to Madeira but were quite intrigued by what we have heard about the island. So all curious!

Due to a R's meeting in London we will stop over and actually leave from there as well. Funnily enough the flight from London to Funchal was cheaper and shorter (as nonstop) than if we had booked the flight leaving from Germany. Even though I still have a few things left to do I am looking forward to meeting up with some old friends and enjoying time London again.
