Size Matters

This is the theme for Day 28 of woollyhedge's OnThis Day in October Challenge, commemorating the publication in 1726 of Gulliver's Travels.

Not quite The Angel of the North, the Willow Man (near J23 of the M5 at Bridgwater) at 12 metres high still dominates the traffic and surrounding area, or at least it did until the building of an enormous distribution for Morrison's supermarket on an adjacent piece of land.

By a happy coincidence, the author Jonathan Swift planted willows in the garden of his vicarage near Dublin.
