Senior Softball

Stopped to watch some Softball at the end of my 20 mile bike ride today. Yes, the catcher is a lady; this is a mixed softball game. You can see the ball in flight just above the third baseman. The pitch must be lobbed above the head of the batter and the pitcher wears shin guards to protect him from blazing line drives. There are two home plates - one for batting and one for scoring - this eliminates collisions at home plate. I did note that lots of knee braces were in evidence.
