Home to roost

After getting the tender document delivered fifteen minutes before the deadline yesterday a more relaxing evening was needed so it was great to find Mat and Annie in the house when I got home as it's always entertaining to have them round and after a few drinks and a lot of laughs I felt distinctly more chilled out.

This morning Joe and his team mates gave Port Seton a lesson with an 18-0 victory. Mind you, it was 21-0 last time so either they are getting slightly better or we are getting slightly worse. It stops being fun though when it gets to double figures and even though they were allowed to field an extra player you could see how demoralised the kids were getting. Ten minutes before the end one of the kids asked the Referee if he could stop the game. Bless 'em. Still, it's character building. Maybe.

Drove over to East Linton this afternoon to visit the best butcher shop in the county and then a quick diversion to the Doocot for a blip. The smudges in the sky are birds rather than dirt on the sensor. Maybe trying out shutter priority is the next step in this photography journey.
