Fame...

We were having lunch at Huecker Moor - a local beauty spot, when a man who'd been watching us for a while asked if he could take our photo.

He explained that he worked for the local paper and that his editor had tasked him to get a shot of a family enjoying themselves in the sun - and that everyone else around the lake was about a hundred years old.

Then he dropped the bombshell - he needed us in a rowing boat - which is easier said than done with two children under two.

The next morning - there we were - on the front cover of the Neue Westfaelische, under an article describing the local area as a "Holiday Paradise" - which to be honest is a bit of wishful thinking ;-)
