Susie'sLittle London Life

It's been a wonderful day, full of frolics, food, family, and friends.

It culminated in a trip to the Don McCullin exhibition at the Imperial War Museum London.

It's one of the most powerful exhibitions I've ever seen. One of the greatest living photographers, he risked life and limb through the 60s, 70s and 80s to bring the world stark and honest images of war zones, first focussing on the soldiers, and later, the civilians caught up in conflicts.

Aside from the awe induced by the phenomenal images, it really brings home how lucky you are to be born in a first world country in peace time. And so grateful to those who gave us that freedom, only just over half a century ago.
