I came home to find this in my garden. Galium Odoratum, commonly known as sweet woodruff. Way too sweet for my liking.

In medieval times, with it's distinctive scent of cinnamon, chamomile and vanilla, it was commonly used to stuff mattresses. So, I guess it thinks it knows something of the subject.

No more spontaneity in the garden beds I say. Next year I will train it instead. I think, next year it should say. . .
