The girls and I went to Seacliff this afternoon and had the whole beach to ourselves. We filled it with lots of happy shouting, running about and splashing in the sea.

Had an interesting wander to the amazing tiny harbour hewn into the rocks, whilst the girls told each other scary pirate stories.

On the way back to the car we found a heart shaped piece of glass, its edges softened by the sea, with an L on it. It seemed amazingly apt. Even for a broken heart.
