Day 12 - The Bees!!

Oh! What a day!

When we got home last night from Granada, the lady next door intercepted us before we getting to our door to tell us that we had "several" bees around it. We were very thankful as Lisa is highly allergic to them. She offered us to get in our apartment by their back door through the bedroom's window which was fortunately left unlocked.

After a phone call to the caretaker, she told us that someone would take care of it in the morning. So we went to bed. This guy came over this morning to spray them all around the entry door. We phoned the owner in England and after some discussion, it was decided that we moved to another apartment. Not an easy task as we had a fridge full of food and everything had to be passed through the back window, and through the neighbor's apartment!

The bees were lodged in the frame of the front window and there were thousand of them trying to protect their queen. Here you can see some of them hanging on the awning rope while others get together on the floor.

In the afternoon we all went to the beach (yes, this time I went) where we had a dip in very cold waters and where a photographer was caught in his siesta. More pics.

Then, as if it wasn't enough for one day, we went to a flamenco show while enjoying a great supper. Emily was even asked up on the stage.

Thanks for watching.
