Sunny chocolate face

Melbourne Cup Day, public holiday in Victoria, but not in South Australia. We still get to place our bets in office sweeps and watch the main race. Some even go parties! I went to a barbecue, which was a great way to spend the afternoon. Mr H joined me later and was given a mountain of meat to eat. Sitting at the foothills, amongst big trees, sun, wine, company - it was very pleasant. We had to get the child from the after school care, so our Aussie afternoon came to an end. Hanna wasn't happy we went there without her. She has been before and enjoyed the farm and the hills a lot. To placate her, Mr H gave her chocolate cake. Sugar surge was quite apparent very shortly.

I am exhausted by all this parting, off to bed.
