disrupt

My plan to introduce the bike as a last-minute addition to the stuff in the car was scuppered when it turned out we were taking one of Nicky's colleagues as far as Glasgow. It would still have just been possible but would have required me to sit in the middle of the rear seat, where it would have been much more uncomfortable though easier to comfort the wingpiglet when he started stropping just outside the bypass. He settled down a bit after a dandle and squeeze at Harthill and eventually went to sleep just after we returned to the motorway after dropping off the colleague. We didn't get in until way past his bedtime; I think we've managed to remove him from the car seat without waking him before but he woke up anyway which at least allowed him to be greeted by his grandparents and to catch a few minutes of whatever bizarre ham-acted miswritten STV crime drama they were watching.
