Homage....

....in the French sense. A pictorial expression of gratitude (from the birth place of geological understanding) to Robert Crawford for his excellent new book "The Beginning and End of the World" which is not only about St Andrews and the early days of photography but also about geology and how the long view of the world (including the modern environmental view) and our place in it was , and is, productively unsettling.
