Yes, this Canada Goose seems to be wearing a license plate around its neck. As I was snapping away, it became obvious to me that this was not an accident but an intentional banding. Then the bird raised its banded leg as if to say "Don't miss the matching bracelet." None of the other birds in the flock had the neck thing - makes me wonder about this particular one...
