Waterfoot Sunrise

Showers on the Horizon

Forecast for today was showers and sure enough when I looked out the window this morning a large black cloud sat over Arran. However, the rest of the sky was reasonably clear and there was a blip opportunity before heading to Campbeltown for the shopping.

So it was wellies on and a wander down to the river estuary where the tide was receding. All the boats bar one are now out of the water for the winter, so the mooring area is less cluttered, but also less interesting. As the sun started to climb behind the dark cloud other puffy clouds appeared from the west and reflected nicely on the water. The reflections were broken only by a couple of mooring ropes and a small buoy.

As I type the black cloud is moving off and the sun is appearing again. Hopefully there is more sun than clouds for us all today!
