Harvest Time

A right cold start to the day today but perfect for working in the garden. Potatoes dug up ready for the winter, firewood chopped, kindling split, chickens cleaned out and even managed to get the grass cut!

Despite all the domestic chores there was time to meet Alison down the river to drop off a couple of rabbits which are destined for a date with some olives and tomatoes. This evening I'll be pouring over catalogues deciding what new fishing tackle I'll need for next season. One of the joys of winter nights is thinking of the season past and looking forward to the new one.
