It seems so complicated. A friend of ours, who plays for Scotland, tried to teach us the basics a couple of years back, but it just didn't appeal to me. #2 started to pick it up quite quickly - probably something to do with being good at mathematics.

It was interesting to watch four players in a competition today, serious concentration. I just moved around the tables, and promised not to share what I could see until it was all over.

Enjoy the fireworks. It is a clear night here, and the display from Glasgow Green can usually be seen right across the city. Off to sit at the window and watch.
