Scrawny Old Man

Loch Lyon

Another early start and long drive for a great (and quite hard) day's hillwalking.
This was the view as we started out and although the sun didn't shine that much, it was always very clear and we got some fine views (here's one from Mrs RT). Light was never quite this perfect again though.
Headed north from here for two Corbetts - Meall Buidhe and Sron a'Choire Chnapanich (don't ask me how to pronounce that, but they mean Yellow Hill and Nose of the Lumpy Corrie). According to Dave's notes, 14.3km and 955m total ascent (and 966m descent - explain that one when we started and finished at the same place).
A treat on the way home was a great view of Dundee's firework displays as we drove towards the city (but I had to keep my eyes on the road).
