Tandoor in New Haven

We were in New Haven CT today, first for a spellbinding new play at the Yale Rep, Belleville. Then to the Yale Center for British Art, to meet my son Adrian and see an impressive exhibition on Johan Zoffany, an 18th century painter of British and European society.

After all this culture the three of us had an excellent Tandoori meal at the restaurant portrayed here (the entrance is around the corner on the left), housed in a diner-type structure just outside the center of New Haven. Adrian was born here, in the Yale-New Haven Hospital about five blocks away, and has lived here ever since--now working as a radiation therapist in nearby Bridgeport.

Edit: My ornithologist friend transcened his expertise to comment: "Nice mix of cultural images--Indian food, U.S. diner style, U.S. beer sign, urban security video camera, newspaper boxes, towing threat, etc. Interesting color of the sun on the building on the background on the far left (position, not politics) of the image."
